I spent the first 16 years of my career in college admissions and advertising education. Admissions is basically direct sales, and that was easy for me because education is a product that I deeply believe in. In the course of a conversation, I am good at seeing a person through the art they make and the way they talk about their goals.
Content marketing is different. There is a lot of educated guesswork in SEO choosing the right topic. Then, thinking about voice is a challenge. What are the immediate needs of a reader, and what are they going to think about long term?
